Accel India is the India practice of Accel, a global venture capital firm founded in 1983 and headquartered in Palo Alto, California. Accel established its India presence in 2008 and has become one of the country's most successful early-stage investors, having been the first institutional investor in Flipkart (at a $4M post-money valuation) and Swiggy (at a $2M pre-money valuation). The India team, based in Bengaluru, invests from seed through growth stage across AI, fintech, consumer, and manufacturing.
